Leading Swiss Utility Romande Energie Selects Enphase Energy as its Residential Solar Technology Partner

Enphase microinverter technology chosen to ensure a quality driven customer experience, advocating superior system performance and economic sustainability

Lyon, France – 13 December 2016 – Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH), a global energy technology company, today announced that Romande Energie SA, the leading electricity distributor in western Switzerland with headquarters in Morges, Canton of Vaud, has selected Enphase as the solar energy technology provider to power Romande’s turnkey residential PV offering.

Romande Energie’s core activities are the production, distribution and commercialization of energy. In 2016, leveraging its geographical coverage, end user proximity and field expertise, the company created its Energy Services Business Unit (BU) to support end customers with energy efficiency solutions. The BU invested in a decentralized residential-scale PV program for local energy production.

"Enphase Energy stood out as the best and most reliable inverter technology for our residential solar photovoltaic (PV) roll-out in Switzerland," said Mauricio Lanchipa, head of PV residential services, Romande Energie Services. “The Enphase Microinverter System provides many advantages such as field proven reliability, higher energy harvest gain and adaptability to any roof, ensuring an unmatched satisfaction experience and maximized returns for our customers.”

Mauricio Lanchipa also praised MyEnlighten, Enphase’s user-friendly platform that enables homeowners to track their energy production and view their system’s performance. “MyEnlighten is a top-notch platform that delivers ongoing energy insight into production and consumption, providing our customers with the ability to track their overall savings," added Mauricio Lanchipa.

Romande Energie’s smart solar rooftop offering, which will include the Enphase Microinverter System and high-end PV modules, comes in different packages for right-sized solar arrays to meet different energy behaviors and self-consumption needs.

"Romande Energie’s use of Enphase products will add a significant route to market for our operations in Switzerland, and will enable Enphase to access a potentially large number of residential homeowners in western Switzerland," said Gerald Semenjuk, regional director of France and Switzerland, Enphase Energy. "Swiss residential consumers are recognizing the importance of investing in quality solar PV systems, and we believe Romande's customers will be delighted with the environmental and financial benefits that Enphase offers.”

Enphase is excited about the opportunities in Switzerland for its market-leading microinverter technology, with interest from larger companies such as Romande Energie, to smaller professional solar installers. Switzerland has an advanced solar market that is well-suited for the robust, easy-to-use, Enphase microinverter technology.
